Has anyone of you experienced this before?

Hi guys(and girls).
*NOTE: The following post is a true event and the names have been changed so that I don't get expelled or sued. Therefore, any incidents of people, living or dead, experiencing this are absolutely uncoincidental.

Today,we stayed back yet again after assembly. However, today was different. C just told a few people, such as T and R to see him after recess and after school. Of course, the students obeyed.(What else could they do?)

After school,I went to have lunch with WX and SJQ when R showed up. He told us that C had forced(guess) T to confess that he had framed everyone for stealing his stuff. C also tried to force R,but after 45 mins,he finally gave up.

I repeat, this is TRUE. Pls post your comments.

Why does everyone like our stuff???

Great.

Another theft occured in our class today. Ryan lost a CD. I wonder who has been stealing 2E's items for so long. Now,Mr Chia has ordered us to stay back after EVERY assembly. It all started when Timothy(yes, the same guy I talked about in one of my earlier posts) claimed that his e-dictionary was missing. Due to us hating Timothy to the CORE,we didn't really care.

Then it got worse. Marcus's Chinese textbook was missing all of a sudden. It was then that our teachers alerted Mr Chia. Now,any matter concerning Mr Chia is very bad for two reasons.

1. He is the discipline master. If you are caught doing something wrong, say your prayers.
2. Our class 2E has had a bad reputation since last year. So this would not be the first time meeting the DM.

That was why we were freaking pissed off when Timothy found his e-dict under his desk. Because of him,we were made to stay back and endure lectures about honesty and integrity.(As if we didn't know) What did he do to apologise? NOTHING.

Hope the thief owns up. If not I will go mad from staying back everyday. Bye for now.

ITE bias and total crap

Crap.

This is what I think of what the principal of a school said to 27 Sec 5 girls. http://www.straitstimes.com/Free/Story/STIStory_195402.html?vgnmr=1

Can you actually believe what the principal said? How can she tell students to go to ITE just because she wants 100% passes in the school? So what if her school does not get 100% passes? Will the school be demolished? Will she be killed by upset parents? OF COURSE NOT!!! This is just plain stupid. The principal is demoralising the students by saying such things. Anyway, what in the bloody world is wrong with ITE? The people studying there should not be discriminated just because they got bad marks. Contrary to what the education system teaches us,results are not everything. In fact, some students from ITE can even outshine JC students! But does anyone care? NO. What makes this incident even more disturbing is that the Minister of State for Education actually supported the principal's act.(OMG!!!)

Past data shows that 40 per cent of students will not do well enough to qualify for polytechnic, and students need to know this from the start, he said. So? Why not try to be one of the 60% who can qualify? Even if you go to ITE after that,at least you can admit that you tried and you did not listen to what stupid people said. Besides,ITE is not the end.

I hope that no one would listen to such rubbish, even if it's spoken by a principal.

English Assignment pt 3

This will be the final graded entry for my EL assignment.
I am very sure most of you have heard about what happened last Friday. If not, here's what happened.
YIJUN AND I GOT KNOCKED DOWN BY A TRUCK.
(Pls begin marking after this sentence.)

Well,Yijun,Melvin and I were on the way to the bus stop so that we could take Service 12 to our homes. Before that,we had to cross a road. When the green man came on,Yijun and I hurried across while Melvin took his time. Due to a bus that blocked our view,we did not see a truck heading towards us. In just a few seconds,Yijun and I were knocked down. Luckily for us,a nurse saw us injured and rushed to help us. Other passers-by also came to offer assistance. Melvin, who was behind us called the ambulance.
The ambulance arrived and I was 'stretchered into it' while Yijun limped in and took a seat. After about 10 to 15 minutes,we arrived at KK hospital. I was then sent for 3 rounds of X-rays to determine the injury.

All in all,I had a fractured collarbone, two bruised fingers and abrasions on my back, elbows and right ear. I had to stay in hospital for two days. Finally,I was discharged at 1pm today with my arm in a sling.

After this accident,I promised myself that even when the green man is on I will ensure that all vehicles have stopped before crossing another road in the future. I also hope that the relevant authority will look into the traffic condition in that area and install a hump or speed regulating strips to slow down vehicles approaching the traffic light.

English Assignment Pt 2

This is my second entry for the English assignment.
<---(My tennis racket)
The weather nowadays has been quite unpredictable, with clear skies in the morning and rain in the afternoon. Yesterday was no exception.

I had tennis training yesterday and had to stay back for 2 whole hours. Just a few minutes before we were dismissed, the sky became dark and it started to rain. At first,it was just a slight drizzle. A few moments later,it started to pour. With nothing but our tennis racket cases to shield us from the rain,we dashed to the canteen for shelter. We then bought drinks to quench our thirsts. After staying there for a few minutes,a schoolmate and I decided to brave the rain with just one umbrella. Needless to say, both of us had a free "bath" by the time we had reached the bus stop. To top it all off,I was turned into an "icicle" the moment I stepped into the air-conditioned bus!
That was one day I would never want to experience EVER again.

The world of feminism

These days,I wonder what has happened to the world. News of global warming, terrorism and natural disasters plague the news every single day. However, what is most disturbing is that the world is becoming a feminist place.

Girls Rule(What this planet of ours is supporting)

This is NOT the OK form of feminism which demands that females should have the same rights as males. I am PERFECTLY OK with that. In fact,I support it. However, the form of feminism I am talking about is twisted. In fact, there are many examples of this in life. For example, the law will sentence a man to HANGING if he throws his baby off a building. But a woman who does the exact same thing will only be sentenced to life imprisonment. Now,I would like to ask you: Is this fair? Of course it's not!!! If you get hanged, that is the end of your life. THE END. If you get sentenced to life in prison instead, you may have your sentence deducted by a few years for good behaviour. Although it is rare,it's still an opportunity to get out of jail.

I experienced this sort of extreme feminism yesterday during my primary school days. There was one incident where the relief teacher for our class during PE made the boys run 4 laps but the girls only needed to run 2. The reason:The boys needed a longer time to settle down.

After running 4 laps around the school field, the teacher then told both genders to choose 2 representatives for a race. All of us (the boys) were shocked and furious. How can the *&^%$#@! teacher race when we had ran 2 more laps than the opponents. The worst part, she said that the punishment for the losers was 30 sit-ups each.

Sit UpThe punishment...

Karate 2 Imagine that the smiley is me and the brick/plank is the stupid teacher.

Fortunately, our two racers won the race, allowing us to escape punishment. We were than told to assemble in the canteen while the girls were being punished.

Having doubts,I asked one of my female classmates if they really did the sit-ups that day. To my fury, she replied that the teacher told them to do just 10 sit-ups!!!

Why the discrimination???

EL assignment Pt 1

Time to get started on my EL assignment. I'm supposed to post 3 entries during this week. If u are not a teacher, please ignore the entries in blue. And now,the first graded entry.
A school is a place where children and teenagers like me go to learn stuff. But every now and then, some guy does something stupid, causing the whole class to launch attacks on him. I'm talking,of course, about TIMOTHY.
Let's see, what idiotic act has he done now? Oh,now i remember,he CHEATED during the 2.4km run practice. It all started when we went for PE. Mr Amir told us about the 2.4 thing, and we started running. All was well at first, until i turned and saw Timo behind me halfway through the first round. At that time, all i could think was "What the HELL" and ran faster. After all,I did not want to lose to Timothy.
Two laps on and the sack of lard (not my insult,Nic Lim's) was STILL behind me. I could not believe it. Finally,I finished the run with an OK timing of 14.25min. Timothy got 15.06.
Then, during recess,Ryan told us that Timothy may have cheated, and he had proof. That got me thinking, why cheat yourself if u are going to lose out in the run?
I can never understand the mind of a weirdo called TIMOTHY.

Education in Singapore Pt 2

Hi again. Now,back to my complaining about Singapore's education system. Besides making childrens' lives even more difficult due to comparison,it also breeds only one thing:arrogance. Too many times have we heard students from "good" schools proudly boast that they are the best and label students from neighbourhood schools stupid. Remember the Wee Shu Min saga? What will happen to Singapore if people like her rule the country? Also, there is no school that should ever be labelled "lousy". Each school has its own niche in something,be it sports or arts or results. Unfortunately,we peasants can only get a job if we have good results. Therefore, parents judge schools according to how high their standard is. Think about it. Does it sound silly to judge schools like this? Of course it is!
If the education system is not changed,I am afraid that we may see more talented people being booted to low paying jobs because they did not come from a "good" school.

Education in Singapore

Hi.Today I am talking abt Singapore's education system. Many people have said that the education system here is screwed up.I agree. First of all, why are given so much pressure at such a young age? From preschool, we are already being compared with other children. Here's an example:

Mum 1: Hello,how's your boy?
Mum2: Ok lah. The teacher says that he still cannot read. I am worried that he may have dyslexia.
Mum 1: Dyslexia? Wah! So serious. Anyway,my boy also no better. You know he only got 8/10 when his classmates got 9 or 10? I want to send him for tution but he is only 5 yrs old. Now I don't know what to do.

This is what happens 7 yrs later...

Mum 1: Hello! How much did your son get ah?
Mum 2: Not much lah. Only get 257.
Mum 1: 257 is a good score wat. My son only got 249. Now I am giving him xtra tution 4 all subjects.
Mum 2: I want my son to go RI. Now he have to go to Dunman High only. So disappointing!
Mum 1: Aiyah! Children nowadays only want to play!

I have heard this kind of conversations so many times I have to speak up. First of all,how can parents compare and put down their children in public? The most common excuse would be: I don't want to seem arrogant. Let me ask you,is a simple "Thank you for your compliment/comment" arrogant too? Of course it's not! Secondly, why must parents care so much about how many marks their children get? In the end,it won't matter simply because the children are starting a NEW year in a NEW school.

I will continue my complaining another time.

No SchoolWhat I wish would happen more often.

Walking down Memory expressway

Shock 2 Wow. How time flies. It only seems like last hour that I was in primary 5. Now I am in Sec 2! I can remember vividly how happy I was when I got my PSLE results. Even though I did not get my intended target, I was satisfied with my results. Now here I am in Victoria SchoolWay To Go
I can also remember the Sec 1 orientation camp. What can I say... the food was tasteless, our accomodation was just a wooden hut with NO I repeat NO fan at all,and it rained heavily while we were kayaking. Fire Eyes However,it did one thing good.It made all of us bond together.
What were some of the memories that will remain etched in your mind forever? Pls share.
