APRIL FOOLS DAY
Happy late April Fools' Day to all! Here's a lame joke: Angry that religions had holidays, a group of free-thinkers brought their case to court and demanded that they have their own holiday. what they didn't know was that the court was very much Christian-based. Therefore, they gave the free-thinkers April Fools' Day as a holiday. When asked why,the court replied that since they did not believe in God,they were fools.
Makes you think of what religion can do just to prove that they are right...

Happy Earth Hour...I think
Hi all. Haven't posted in a long time. Sry,couldn't find time to post due to the load of homework I have. Why do teachers give us so much homework anyway? It's as if they think they're the only ones giving out work for us to do.
But I'll probably rant on that next time.
For this post,I am talking abt Earth Hour. Earth Hour was held for the 1st time last year in Sydney, where most of the people switched off their lights at home for a whole hour to save electricity. This year, other countries have joined in. But what about our country? Ok...wait a sec...[looks at Sunday Times]
Ok. Got it. Says that Earth Hour was not really accepted by people in Singapore. And we claim to be a Garden City. We may be filled with trees, but with almost everyone here littering, wasting water and electricity and having an obsession with using plastic bags, our self proclaimed title is useless. That's right,USELESS.
And since I stretched the writing of this post to Tuesday,I have managed to read an ST reader's comment on Earth Hour and the irony of it as the F1 racing thingy also did a publicity stunt involving LOTS & LOTS OF LIGHTS when MOST countries around the world were in darkness. Wonder what it would have looked like from space...
Alien: Ok. It's Earth Hour now, let's see what's going on as part of our exploration mission. Hmmm...this place called America is all black. So is Fiji. And Sydney. Seems like these people living on Earth really do care about their planet.
Wait! What's this? A small island is actually being indifferent to this occasion. Some parts of the place are dark, but others are still very much lighted. They even have this racing event. The light is blinding!!! What is this place called?!
Of course,we all know what the alien was talking about.

Be my valentine...not
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Dunno what u guys do today,as for me,I celebrate another year of being single and not having any girlfriends! Yay!!! (When I just say girlfriends,it means that I am NOT GAY,OK? Don't get any funny ideas.) Some of my classmates planned to go out with their GFs today, not sure if that happened. Anyway,I played table tennis during recess as usual. I'm improving extremely fast. That's what you get from playing every recess during P5 andP6. After that,I went back to class to find Azmi and Nic Lim fighting. I don't know what happened, but the aftermath was a drenched Nic Lim with a red mark on his pants. ROFL.
After school, played TT for awhile. Thrashed Timothy 11-2. And he claimed that he was better than me. Speaking of him,he says that he has a girlfriend called Samantha. To tell you the truth,no one knows if she really exists or if she is just his imagination.
Again,I wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day.
(Don't ask abt the date. It's a bit weird)

CNY celebration!!!
Today we celebrated CNY in school and we had a bloody good time! However,we were quite pissed off as the concert people still needed to go and rehearse. The reason we were pissed:We had lugged our bags(well...they're not very heavy, but we were still angry anyway) down 2 floors to the hall. Except 4 me. I took the lift. Hahaha. So being injured does have its good points.
Anyway, when we were in class,we felt REALLY bored,so we decided to play table tennis.
Equipment: Teacher's table, two table tennis bats and one ball. LOL
Yes I know that the table was very small and we had no net. But we enjoyed ourselves anyway. Soon there was a crowd. The best part was that Ms Fox our FT actually let us be and even allowed us to turn on our handphones!
Finally,we went to the school hall. To our dismay, the concert was delayed again. WTH!!! After like 10-15 min,the concert started. To tell you the truth, the concert was OK. Our last year P.E. teacher Mr Siow let a wushu student to use wooden poles to whack his leg,arm and stomach. Something broke, and it wasn't Mr Siow. The poles broke into pieces at the moment of contact.
Then we had this talentquest thing. Everything was Ok until...TIMOTHY paired up with some guy to sing Tong Hua. The piano playing by Timo was good, but their singing sucked like Hell. All that time I was thinking OMG. Then I remembered that I am an atheist. After that,a band came up to the stage and sang Maroon 5's Won't Go Home Without You. They rocked!!! Of course, they became the eventual winners.
Then we had some girls from CHIJ Katong Convent to perform some lame dance. With my school being a boy's school, there were alot of whistles and clapping
. I of course could not care less. Before we knew it,the concert ended and we were dismissed. This was the best part of the whole celebration.
